How would you describe your style?

My style is Scandi-inspired, monochrome, minimalistic with very clean lines throughout my home. I believe that less is ALWAYS more when styling my home.

Where do you look to for your inspiration?

I am a mom of three littles, so although I’d love to venture out to local shops, it’s nearly impossible (I have tried!) We are building our dream home soon, so I am always looking to be inspired by interior design and style. My favorite blogs are The Design Chaser, Stylizimoblog and Decordots. I’m also a Pinterest and Instagram fanatic. I love finding new accounts/pages and gleaning ideas off of them, but when I style, I always make it my own. When my followers send me a note saying they used one of my pics for style inspiration, it encourages me to keep going. I love to inspire and be inspired by so many talented people out there.

What are your top three possessions in your home?

My top three possessions are my white Hemishere side table (you’ll see it in 90% of my pictures)! My Eames rocking chair and my dark-stone jute area rug. All of them photograph beautifully and they are so well-made.

What is your next must-have purchase for your home?

My next purchase is the HAY Design loop stand dining table. I absolutely love the geometric lines. The only problem is is that I can’t decide between black or white. Maybe I need both?! 😁

We know you love your Turkish Towels! What are your top tips for styling them?

I was blown away when I received my Turkish towels. I wasn’t expecting them to be such a generous size…and on top of that, they are soft and beautifully made. They are one of those things that can be styled in so many ways. They are such a versatile piece in any home, with any style aesthetic. I’ve used them as tea towels on my table, as throw blankets on my couch and as a light summer blanket for my 1.5 year old daughter. My whole family loves them. They’ll always be styled in my home. I’m a big fan!

“When I’m not blogging I’m…..”

I am on Instagram A LOT. The friendships I’ve made have been such a huge blessing to me. I’m very grateful. When I’m not instagramming, I’m hanging with my kids outdoors. We live in a beautiful state and the summers are divine and very HOT! We are very active and love to swim and ski. I’m also a marathon runner, so I’m training outside, quite a bit!

Favourite places to hangout?

The District Coffeehouse, Java Hyde Park, Goldy’s Corner, Goodys Soda Fountain and Candy Store, Boise Frye Company, Idaho Running Company, H&M.

Moroccan Monochrome: Mastering black and white

Traditional Moroccan architecture is shaped by centuries of cultural and religious influences. Archways, curves, beautiful patterns and bold colours define the look.   Moroccan Monochrome takes all of the distinctive geometrics and mosaics which are replicated throughout the intricate Moroccan designs and teams this with the elegant simplicity of black and white – the result: a sleek and modern take on Moroccan decor.  Whether your ambition is to create a complete Moroccan style home or just have a Moroccan touch, we’ve put together a collection of our favourite Moroccan Monochrome pieces for your home.

The easiest way to add a Moroccan feel to your home is via fabrics, trays and blankets and you don’t need a lot of items to make your space more exotic.

Moroccan Fabrics

Fabrics can be used in a variety of ways throughout your home. Your couch will look amazing with a punchy cushion in a traditional Moroccan inspired fabric or for the more adventurous – there are plenty of fabric options to recover existing furniture or use as canvas’s on the wall.

Moroccan Trays

Trays are are effortless way to incorporate the Moroccan feel into your home.  Choose from trays carved from either bone or engraved metals and style on a bedside or dining table.
