How would you describe your style?

My style is Scandi-inspired, monochrome, minimalistic with very clean lines throughout my home. I believe that less is ALWAYS more when styling my home.

Where do you look to for your inspiration?

I am a mom of three littles, so although I’d love to venture out to local shops, it’s nearly impossible (I have tried!) We are building our dream home soon, so I am always looking to be inspired by interior design and style. My favorite blogs are The Design Chaser, Stylizimoblog and Decordots. I’m also a Pinterest and Instagram fanatic. I love finding new accounts/pages and gleaning ideas off of them, but when I style, I always make it my own. When my followers send me a note saying they used one of my pics for style inspiration, it encourages me to keep going. I love to inspire and be inspired by so many talented people out there.

What are your top three possessions in your home?

My top three possessions are my white Hemishere side table (you’ll see it in 90% of my pictures)! My Eames rocking chair and my dark-stone jute area rug. All of them photograph beautifully and they are so well-made.

What is your next must-have purchase for your home?

My next purchase is the HAY Design loop stand dining table. I absolutely love the geometric lines. The only problem is is that I can’t decide between black or white. Maybe I need both?! 😁

We know you love your Turkish Towels! What are your top tips for styling them?

I was blown away when I received my Turkish towels. I wasn’t expecting them to be such a generous size…and on top of that, they are soft and beautifully made. They are one of those things that can be styled in so many ways. They are such a versatile piece in any home, with any style aesthetic. I’ve used them as tea towels on my table, as throw blankets on my couch and as a light summer blanket for my 1.5 year old daughter. My whole family loves them. They’ll always be styled in my home. I’m a big fan!

“When I’m not blogging I’m…..”

I am on Instagram A LOT. The friendships I’ve made have been such a huge blessing to me. I’m very grateful. When I’m not instagramming, I’m hanging with my kids outdoors. We live in a beautiful state and the summers are divine and very HOT! We are very active and love to swim and ski. I’m also a marathon runner, so I’m training outside, quite a bit!

Favourite places to hangout?

The District Coffeehouse, Java Hyde Park, Goldy’s Corner, Goodys Soda Fountain and Candy Store, Boise Frye Company, Idaho Running Company, H&M.

How would you describe your style?

My decorating stye is a ever-changing combination of Scandi-inspired, monochrome and minimalist design with the odd vintage piece – but always, always, with a pop of colour!

Where do you look to for your inspiration?

My main inspiration sources are Pinterest (I could spend hours scrolling through!) and magazines (such as Cereal, Real Living, Fete and Inside Out). For blogs I love following The Design Chaser, The Design Files and The Stylist Splash.

What are your top three possessions in your home?

My top three would have to be my Bernabeifreedman light shade, my vintage sideboard that I have painted white and my vintage timber rocking horse from when I was a child!

What is your next must-have purchase for your home?
I am currently wanting to re-do my kitchen and the floorboards in my home, so they are definitely top of the list! I’d also love to add a new rug to my lounge room.

We know you love your Moroccan Pouf’s! What are your top tips for styling them?
Moroccan Poufs are a fabulous addition to any home. They can be moved around anywhere in the house – it is one of my most versatile pieces! I also like to use them as makeshift tables and spaces to sit. They look great anywhere and I currently have a black and white throw on top of my white Moroccan Pouf in my living room, which looks fab! They are a style piece on their own.

“When I’m not blogging I’m…..”
My day-to-day job is a stay at home mum! I also keep busy as a freelance stylist and creative consultant, as well as blogging and Instagramming at @myfabulousdesign.

Favourite places in Sydney?

There are too many to list! Cafe wise I love Bread and Circus, The Boathouse and Porch and Parlour. For shopping, I usually head to Koskela, IKEA, Cult Design and The Minimalist. For children clothes and homewares, I love browsing through My Messy Room. When I want to relax, my go-to’s are Icebergs Terrace at Bondi, or Fish and Chips at Watson’s Bay.
