Tina from Vintage Movement

We absolutely love your blog. Tell us more about the inspiration behind Vintage Movement.

I started Vintage Movement as a way of sharing the feel good random fun of thrifting with a dash of baking and a pinch of DIY crafting thrown in! We are in the middle of a vintage renaissance with interior decor, food and fashion embracing the past like never before and Vintage Movement is my little patch of appreciation for exactly that. I’m a bit of a shopaholic and mixing vintage decor with new is a skill handed down to me by my Mum (a semi retired Antique Dealer). It’s also a great way to add diversity and interest to your home without breaking the bank!

How would you describe your style?

This is a tricky one… ok, here it goes – Eclectic, Vintage, Boho with a new found LOVE for modern Scandinavian Monochromatic interiors!!

(Make sure you check out the Vintage Movement Instagram!)

What are your top three possessions in your home?

It changes all the time but I’m currently loving my vintage Chanel No. 5 poster (below), my ever increasing Cacti collection and my 1950s concrete swan pots (below).

What is your next must-have purchase for your home?

I’m obsessing over black and white typeface at the moment so any of the Andy Warhol Moderna Museet or Playtype typeface prints are at the top of my list wishlist… I’d also love to buy a large Beni Ourain rug which would really tie my living room look together.

We know you love your Moroccan Pouf’s! What are your top tips for styling them?

Oh my gosh they are my fave and I have my eyes set on adding a white and blush pink footstool to my collection soon!! They add beautifully to any space be it a dressing room, bedroom, nursery or in my case living room and look fabulous layered on top of rugs, beside an arm chair, set as seating around a low lying coffee table or piled up in the corner of a room. I have a vintage boucherouite rug in my living room, that is a bit too small for the space and I like using my leather poufs as anchors between my rug, the exposed floor space and furniture. (Shop the Tan Brown Morrocan Pouf here!)

“When I’m not blogging I’m…..”

Spending time with my very sweet husband and of late sourcing new plants and succulents for our courtyard collection – we have truly become full blown cacti nerds!
